“To those leaning on the sustaining infinite, today is big with blessings.” ~ Mary Baker Eddy
This quote is from the preface of Science and Health. I love how Mary Baker Eddy refers to God with so many synonyms. The very first sentence of her 700 page book starts with referring to God as “the sustaining infinite.”
Leaning involves letting go and allowing ourselves to be supported by something else. When we lean on a wall, the wall is holding us up. When we lean on God, we then let go and allow God to hold us up.
When we just look in God’s direction, or just think of him in passing, or just pray once in a while, we aren’t leaning. We are holding ourselves up. The more we let go and are able to LEAN on the sustaining infinite, the more blessings we will experience.
